Heart Over Hand

Music & Lyrics by Trulah

Reaching, reaching out

In times of rain, in times of drought

Want You for a lifetime, not just for today

I need Your heart, Lord Show me the way

Show me Your heart,

Show me Your heart

When I was younger I reached for Your hand

I longed for guidance, but on my demand

I held You tight in all of my lows

But in the highs I let You go

Show me Your heart

Cause I need You more

Today and forever

It's You I adore

My minds made up I'm sure

You're my Blessing and my Gift

You're everything You're all of it, Lord

My greatest joy in life is this

To know the reason I exist

All for, all for You

It's all for You All for You

Show me Your heart,

show me Your heart

Show me, show me Your heart

Show me Your heart

Heart Over Hand is based on my personal growth in the grace and knowledge of Christ. Of course at conversion, we all recognize our

need for saving, that we are broken in need of a Savior, by which, we reach and through the person of Christ, are raised to life with Him.

After that moment, I believe the rest of our life exist to get to grow from there in relationship with Christ and seek His heart.

I saw for a while when I younger,

I had a tendency to reach for the hand of Christ, but no further.

I wanted His hand to get out of situations, make me feel good, or give me purpose for a moment. The cycle continued, I came to Him when the going got tough. Overtime that simply wasn’t enough and in reading scripture more, His beauty was revealed to me. I no longer want Him for a quick fix but for a lifetime..not for what I could get, but for who He is. If we have His heart we already have his hand.

He IS the blessing, He IS the gift.

Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you are seeking me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves. Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.
